More food! =]
Sorry that this blog isn't always about Madie & I. But I figured how many times can I say "Oh, she moved today!". haha.
So, I figured why not add other things...
The day that third tri started was also Mine & DH's 10 year anniversary of the day we started dating! Yup, 10 years. It's crazy, I know.
Well, I thought I would be a good wife and make an awesome dinner:
AND, I made dessert: Champagne Chocolate Mousse with homemade Raspberry Whipped Cream:
Oh, and yes, those flowers in the pictures were from DH! That man knows me so well! I'd rather have flowers than anything else! =]
xo.

I made dinner...
Last night, I was just really in the mood to cook. I thought I would share our yummy dinner. =]
And I made dessert! You have to make these S'more Brownies! They are amazing!
Here's the recipe...enjoy!
S'mores Brownies
Ingredients
Crust:
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
2 tablespoons sugar
Pinch fine salt
Brownie:
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon fine salt
4 large cold eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
Topping:
4 cups large marshmallows
Directions
Position a rack in the lower third of the oven and heat oven to 325 degrees F. Line an 8 by-8-inch square baking pan with foil so it hangs over the edges by about 1 inch.
For the crust: Lightly butter the foil with some of the melted butter. Stir the rest of the butter together with the crumbs, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Press the crumb mixture evenly over the bottom of the pan. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, make the brownie. Put the butter and chocolate in a medium microwave safe bowl. Melt in the microwave on 75 percent power for 2 minutes. Stir, and microwave again until completely melted, about 2 minutes more. Alternatively, put the butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Bring a saucepan filled with 1 inch or so of water to a very slow simmer; set the bowl on the pan without touching the water. Stir occasionally until melted. Stir the light brown and white sugars, vanilla and salt into the melted chocolate. Add the eggs and beat vigorously to make a thick and glossy batter. Add the flour and stir until just incorporated.
Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake until the top is crispy and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out mostly clean, with a few crumbs, about 40 to 45 minutes.
Remove from the oven and carefully position a rack about 6 inches from the broiler and preheat on low. Layer marshmallows across the top and toast under the broiler until golden, (keep an eye on it, it can go quick), about 2 minutes. Cool on a rack, gently removing the brownies from the pan using the aluminum flaps. Carefully separate any marshmallow from the foil and fold away. Cut into 12 (2-inch) squares.

Month 6!
Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

Well, Maybe not...
I don't think the painting will get done today...because my brother-in-law just showed up with his chainsaw & DH's eyes lit up like a 5 year old on christmas morning. Booo!
Luckily, I woke up with the insane feeling that everything needs to be cleaned and in order in my home, and for you non-preggos out there this is called NESTING. And I've been hit by it hard.
So, I'm about to go tackle the hall closet. For those of you who have not been in my home, you may not think this is a big deal....but it is! Trust me!
I'll post before and after pics later!

One step closer...
Well, we primed the nursery yesterday and I'm so happy that that is finally done. We were going to paint it today because both DH & I have the day off...but DH has a really bad sinus infection so I let him off the hook. Hopefully, we will have that done next weekend. I think I have a wedding to shoot...if I'm thinking of the right date...but we can have it done on sunday. All that will be left is the flooring!

Nursery Bedding! <3
Mom & I went last night to PBK & got Madie's bedding! We also bought my little angel a mobile, a picture frame, a changing pad cover and a bedskirt to make into curtains!
I had to order the sheets online though because they were the only item they didn't have in store. Those should be here in about a week! YAY!

PS...
We went and picked up the crib & dresser yesterday! Yay! I'm so excited. All I want to do is set it up...but we have no place to put it so that's not going to happen for at least a few weeks. But at least we have them both here...whether they are in our dining room or not! =]

Nursery...
...As I was going upstairs to put laundry away DH practically knocked me out of the way to get to the nursery. I said "What did you do?" To which he said "I was curious." I told him to open the door...and I proceed to see that he has ripped up all the linoleum on the floor...and I couldn't even get mad because I was too busy staring at the floor (that was underneath the linoleum) and laughing my shocked ass off. I thought I would document this for all of you, mainly because I doubt you would have believed me without solid proof...I hope you enjoy as much as DH & I did:

Another yay!
It's October! =] Which means...technically 29 days until HALLOWEEN! Whoohooo!
We're going to the pumpkin patch & apple picking this weekend, so exciting!

Yay for Walmart...for once.
I got the email yesterday to let us know that our crib & dresser are in! Yay!
Now we just have to go get them...and then find a place to put them, since the flooring isn't done & there is on paint on the walls.
*Painting by the way was supposed to start today, but don't get me started on that!*
